38 Weeks...last weekly update!

How Far Along: 38 weeks, 1 to go!
Size of baby: should be over 19 1/2 inches..but if he is like his sister he is a shorty and still at 17 inches :) 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Funny story about this. Lately I have been looking at the scale when I go because basically I don't care how much I weigh anymore...I've been enjoying my late night bowls of ice cream & McDonalds which really grossed me out before being pregnant this time. But this last week I realized I have totally been reading the scale wrong...and I am 10 lbs over what I thought it was saying...ugh...can't they just weigh us on a digital scale ;)
Maternity Clothes: of course!
Gender: BABY BOY!!

Name: William "Liam" Garrett
Movement: He still moves around a lot though it should be slowing down. Last night I thought he was going to punch through my belly!
Sleep: HORRIBLE...definitely getting prepared for a newborn. I thought I was going into labor Saturday night. Worst pains and contractions but then they stopped about 6am that morning :(
What I miss: I have been really missing my regular clothes..I am down to about 4 outfits that I just switch out. I miss not being able to pick up Parker so easily. I want to walk normal again, fit into a restaurant booth more easily, not get looks everywhere I go, not be so paranoid about a sweet human growing inside of me, lean over the sink..I have to turn to the side, really I could go on and on ;)
Cravings: nothing lately well besides Nilla Waffers and milk :)..I'm actually getting tired of eating. I get so miserable because there is no more room for anything in my belly!
 Symptoms: lots of braxton hicks,  hands and feet are swelling really bad, my feet hurt, heat flashes, bad back pain,  HOT ALL THE TIME!! In so much pain around my pelvic bone.
Best Moment this week: Having the dr say.."ok, next time I see you will be in the operating room". Best words ever. I am so ready to have this baby!
I have all our bags packed and ready to go. Parker willl be staying with my mom a couple nights and maybe with her cousin Laney as well. I really don't know how long I will be in the hospital.
Patch is the size of a leek and should weigh about 7 lbs.
My guess is 7lbs 13 oz and Tanner's guess is 7lbs 6 oz for his birth weight. Parker was 7.1 :)

Last Appointment!!!

I went in for my last appointment for baby Liam. May be my last pregnancy appointment ever ;)!!!!

I had to go over all the consent forms that will scare the crud out of you for a c-section. Dr L measured my belly, checked the heart beat and told me he would see me on surgery morning....yikes!! It's so close

He also told me not to go into labor next week because he is on vacation :((( My water broke early with Parker so this scares me a little bit. I love all the doctors at that clinic so I know all of them can obviously do the job but it's not the same as your own doctor. I have been pretty much working half days this past week and hope to do the same next week. I am to the point where I am miserable and my feet look like that have the elephantitus disease in the afternoons. Last night they swelled so bad I was actually getting worried.

10 Days 10 Days 10 Days!

I have mixed emotions about this. I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore and hold my sweet little boy. I am also nervous about having 2 kids. It obviously won't be the same as having just one. Am I ready for no sleep, up at all hours, still taking care of a 3 year old, pumping all the time?? Thankfully I have a great husband who seriously took 3 hour shifts with me when we had Parker eventhough he had to work the next day. But now we have 2 kids to think about & I am a clean freak!!! I healed pretty quickly with my last c-section. I was up and walking the next day and was good to go after a week. But what if this one is different? I have a million things going through my head.

I'm almost 99.5% positive this is our last kid. I almost consented to the tubal but had a weird feeling in the back of my mind so I decided against it. It's so permanent and you never know what tomorrow will bring. We always said we would have 2 kids and if we decided on a 3rd we would adopt. I love the idea of adoption and always have so I am still leaning towards that if our hands aren't full enough with 2 :)

Originally I was going to take off 4 months with baby Patch. Parker's daycare doesn't accept infants until they are 4 months old. But we decided to go ahead and put Patch into a different daycare when I go back to work until he can get into Parker's daycare. I will probably only take 8 weeks off...I'm just not the stay at home mommy type. I am in awe of all the mommies who stay at home and love every second. Sometimes I feel guilty that when I am at home all day with Parker I don't love every second. I have bad anxiety and OCD on cleanliness that it just eventually puts me in a bad mood and I don't like to go there. But I know everyone is different so I will definitely be going back to work.

So hopefully my next post will be about our sweet newborn son!!!

Parker's 3rd Birthday Party

We decided to have Parker's birthday pary a month early. Liam is coming on July 3rd (if not sooner...please be sooner) so I knew I wouldn't want to be planning a party around July 14th. So this past weekend it was! It was hot & crazy just like I expected but all our family and good friends were there and I think Parker had a pretty good time! We had an ice cream bar where everyone got to pick their own toppings! Parker wanted a pink cake, bike & a fish and she got all of those plus some more awesome toys. She got a marble maze that is way fun. We spent a lot of time yesterday playing with it. It even keeps me entertained for awhile. Parker loves crafts and got tons of marker, glitter glue, paint & stamps as well as some fun purple things and clothes.

I can't believe our little girl is almost 3! She is so excited about her baby brother coming...we will see how long that lasts ;) Here are some pics from her party.

37 Weeks...Full term!

How Far Along: 37 weeks, 2 to go! I seriously don't get how woman go beyond their due date...

Movement: TONS, his jabs are really starting to hurt not that he is stronger and has less room in there
Sleep: It's been ok. I am up every hour for a bathroom trip and still can't lay on a specific side too long. To move from one side to another is a huge chore.

Best Moment this week: I had a dr appointment on Friday. They did the Strep B test and then just the usual measuring of the belly and heartbeat. Everything looks good so we are still shooting for the July 3rd c-section. We also got to have Parker's birthday a month early. I will post pictures soon!
Patch is the size of a stalk of swiss chard and should weigh about 6 1/2 lbs.

Dance Class

Parker is on her 2nd week of dance class. She is taking classes at Dee-Ann's, the same place I danced at from age 3-18. One of her teachers is even the same teacher I had in highschool. So far she has loved going. It's 2 days a week for a month, they call it a Summer workshop to get the little ones ready for a full year class. She seems so big walking into class all by herself with her dance bag and tap shoes on. I think she mainly loves it because she gets a sucker at the end :) We don't get to watch but the very last class all the parents get to come watch what they have learned! She comes home each time showing us what she has learned...shuffle, hop step & how to curtsy(sp?). Hopefully she contiues to love it!!

36 Weeks!

Sleep: back to horrible again. I can only stay on one side for about 30 minutes and it either goes to sleep or starts hurting so I am up every 30 minutes.
What I miss: EVERYTHING!!

Cravings: Nutella...yumm...I can't get enough & oreos!
 Symptoms: braxton hicks..I never had these with Parker, hungry all the time, hands and feet are starting to swell, heat flashes, bad back pain, stuffy nose, HOT ALL THE TIME!! In so much pain around my pelvic bone, I am really carrying this one different.
Best Moment this week: Not a lot going on this week with Patch. Parker and I had a girls weekend while daddy went on his boys vacation. I took Parker to her first movie...bust! I should have know..she is like me where I can't sit still too long..always have to be doing something.
Patch is the size of a crenshaw melon and should weigh about 6 lbs.

Birthday Party Planning...

I am busy planning Parker's 3rd birthday party! We decided to have it a month early this year since we are getting close to Liam's due date. I didn't want to be overloaded after he was born. We decided on an ice cream bar party! We are making it real small and simple since I am huge, hot & miserable ;)

I'll ask her what she wants for her birthday and she says a PINK cake, bicycle and a fish!

35 Weeks!

Gender: BABY BOY!!

Sleep: back to horrible again. I can only stay on one side for about 30 minutes and it either goes to sleep or starts hurting so I am up every 30 minutes.
What I miss: EVERYTHING!!

Best Moment this week: We had a dr appointment on Friday. Patch is still measuring a week ahead so I am praying he comes a week earlier than planned. But heartbeat and blood pressure was good. We can't wait to meet the little man!
