Last day of February...

Snow day last week. Stayed in PJ's all day!!

But my best friend Shelley & her husband Ben & their sweet little girl Madison are expecting a new little baby! They had been wanting a new little baby for awhile so this was great, exciting news! Madison LOVES babies, expecially "Porker" aka Parker so I know she will be an amazing Big Sister! Shelley's tentative due date is October 27th!

We had a playdate on Saturday with Megan, Macie, Ashley & Hudson! I love playdates, especially just catching up with other moms :)

Parker is the oldest, with Macie 3 weeks younger and Hudson 3 weeks younger than Macie...but by looking at them you would guess Hudson is the oldest, he is a big boy!

Of course it's impossible to get a good picture of 3 babies so these will do. Macie was ready for every picture though with her big smile!

Parker got her 7 month photos taken this weekend by Mallory Buck. She has taken all Parker's pictures since her newborn ones. I love her work & the simplicity in the photos. This was Parker's first time having sugar! She loved that lollipop and cried when we took it away from her.

7 Months!

Are we already in the 2nd week of February?!?!? Nuts! I hate that days now go by so fast :(


2010 has been a great year so far! We are finally settled in our new house & loving it. It is much more “homey” than our last one. I miss a few things from our old house but I love different things about our new one. I turned 26 this month, not a big deal…I felt older when I was turning 25. Tanner & Parker made the day special, one of the best birthdays I’ve had.

Parker is growing so much & so fast, well mostly her tummy & rolls lol :) She will be 7 months on Valentines Day. We last went to her dr apt at 6 months so we don’t go back until 9 months, thanks goodness. I always love all the checkups to get her weight, height, etc but I don’t like the shots so I am fine with waiting.

Parker finally rolls consistently all by herself! It only took 6 ½ months! Ha! For awhile it was once a week maybe, then maybe once a day. Now she will do it anytime we put her on her belly but she doesn’t dare roll from her back to her belly completely. She will get almost there but flips back over, she still dislikes being on her belly. But who would when it sticks out like hers does, uncomfortable.
She has also taken over a sippy cup & cookies. We finally found a sippy cup that she likes & can use without water getting everywhere. Right now we only use it for snack time. She loves her new cookies, they are great for teething but make a huge mess!

We start swimming classes in a couple weeks which I am very excited about…I hope Parker finds it as fun as I am thinking she will. Now that we lay her in the big tub without the help of her baby tub she loves splashing & kicking the water. She has so much fun with it. I bought her a couple swimsuits over the past couple weeks & I can’t wait to see them on her. Daddy is against bikini’s so no bikinis, lol :) Tanner has no idea what’s in store with having a girl!

Speaking of Tanner...he went to see an ear specialist today & has a hole in his ear drum. After Parker was sick Tanner & I became sick & his got a little bad. Luckily the hole will heal on it's own overtime with the help of some drops.

Squirrels & Waves ;)

A couple weekends ago I was home all day with a sick baby. It was very windy outside & my car was parked outside since we didn’t have the garage cleaned out yet. Saturday morning rolls around & my alarm starts going off on my car. Tanner & I assumed it was a gush of wind so we didn’t think anything of it. Later that afternoon when I went to leave…I started the car & all these alarms started popping up: front hood open, multiple bulb failure, airbag service, etc. Tanner went to look under the hood & out popped a dang squirrel! Not only was he hiding from the wind but he decided to chew through all my wires. And to think I used to like squirrels, ha! So today we were finally able to take it into the Alderson shop & no telling how much this damage will cost or how long they will have my car. I feel lost without my car:(

BUT on a fun note…..Parker waved to us this morning!!! So of course that made my day bette;-) It wasn’t your full wave like us adults can do but it was her little mini baby version. We have been working with her for the last week or so, Tanner started it & I joined in a few days later. I really thought she was too young to grasp this. Finally this morning she picked up her hand & did a little baby wave, precious!! Hopefully I can get a picture of this soon. Ma-ma & Da-da are another thing we are working on but that might take some time. Tanner also discovered a birth mark on Parker this morning, I had never noticed it but we definitely think it’s her birth mark. I don’t have one so I guess I never thought about looking for one…I figured they would just stick out but not this one.

A week filled with Super Bowl Chili Cook-off, birthday dinner, girls night, Dear John, massage & Parker's 6 month pictures!!
