Parker's 2 teeth have grown in so much that I wanted a picture but of course that didn't happen ;) We think another one is trying to make its entrance...lots of fussiness, drool & fever ;( Come on tooth!

Crib Fighter

My daughter got into her first "girl fight" at daycare the other day ;) I am only smiling because it wasn't actually a fight but just a glimpse of what we have to look forward to. Her time is only coming...
They had Parker & another little girl on the floor playing. The State Inspector was there at the time so they were busy showing them around the room. Then out of nowhere came a little girl crying...they looked over & saw that Parker had a hold of this little girls hair and had her head pulled over to the ground ;-( oops! They said the look she was giving was priceless...it's her normal blank stare that she has on all the time! I think this could be a little our fault because we let Parker grab the dogs hair & pull it just so they can get used to it because it's obviously going to happen on her own when she gets a little bigger & we don't want them biting her or something.This picture sums it up!

Little quiz for ya..

They say only people with an IQ of 120 and over are able to figure this out. My genius husband of course figured it out within minutes. I, on the other hand, spent a couple hours & still had to ask him for the answer.

Weekend

Tanner took P to the dr on Thursday & thankfully she tested negative for RSV. The nurse had said she had pink eye but after Dr. R looked at it she said it looked like a bad cold that moved into her eyes as well as an ear infection. I stayed home with her on Friday so she could get better. The dr gave her some amoxicillin & ear drops, that helped clear it up in just a day. No more matted eyes or tugging at her ears. Tanner & I both caught her little cold now :(

Saturday since Parker was feeling much better we got to go to my friend Megans house & play with her little daughter Macie that is only 3 weeks younger than Parker. Of course they are still at the age where it's just starring at eachother but it was mainly for us girls to be able to hang out & talk. It's nice getting to talk & spend time with other friends who are going through the same phase of life. I can't wait to spend more time with Megan & little Macie!

Sunday Tanner & I worked with the 2 year olds again. This time is was a little easier, I guess because we were understanding the flow better. They have short attention spans so we are constantly moving onto a new project every 10 minutes or so. I have to say I have a favorite little girl, her name is Graci. She is precious!! She loves for me to hold her & sit on my lap during worship & story time. That afternoon Tanner & I went on a little date to the movies. My mom wanted to watch Parker while we did some things around the house but since I got so much done on Friday we decided to spend this time going to a movie. We saw Extraordinary Measures, it was pretty good. It made me tear up a lot because now having a daughter of my own...I could relate somewhat to this family...they would risk anything to save their children's lives!

Finally...

We were able to close on both houses last Friday. Wow, last week was an emotionally draining week for Tanner & I. It takes a lot to make me cry & I let it out this past week.

We were supposed to close on both houses Tuesday of last week. So of course I had everything ready to go. Closing morning came & we were only able the sign papers on our new house but couldn't close since we had to close on our current one first. To make a long story short...the woman buying our house was using an out of town lender. The woman working for that lending company dropped the ball & didn't have anything ready. So when it was all said & done, we closed 4 days late. But hey we closed & we are all moved & done with the old house!

We like the new house, there are definitely some things we will have to get used too. One being the master bathroom, we aren't used to sharing this area so we will have to work on that ;) I started working on one room at a time. The kitchen is my current project.

We have the most amazing neighbors! Since Saturday we have already met 4 families. At our other house we were/still are good friends with a couple families but it took a couple years to actually meet one family. The other family was friends with Tanner from a few years back. The neighbors to our left came over yesterday & invited us over for dinner. Well it was actually an embarrassing story, it just shows my husband never asks for details! It was nice getting to visit with them, come to find out I went to highschool with ther son in law & they also have lots of grandbabies which will be fun for Parker when she gets a little older. They also have a pool!! Anyways, they have all said the same thing about eachother..how everyone is nice & they have block parties to get to know everyone. This makes me feel really secure.

Tanner put Parker's highchair together the other night and she got to sit in it for the first time. Tanner is taking P to the dr today to make sure she doesn't have this RSV that is going around. Her daycare is full of it she just started with a bad cough & has had matted eyes the past couple days. I don't think she has it but we don't want the weekend to come & her get worse if she does. We have been so busy lately that tonight we are excited to be able to sit, play & spend time with her without running around with her in her carseat. She really needs to work on her tummy time & sitting up better, especially the sitting up since she has pictures coming up soon!

Tanner got really good news at his job this afternoon & we have a line up of hanging out with friends this weekend as well :) Tanner & I started last week teaching the 2 year old class at church. We actually signed up to be volunteers for a year but ended up as the teachers so maybe this was a God thing..not really sure. Last week went farely good, so I am hoping the next year just gets easier over time.

I can't tell if Parker has changed a lot or looks just like she did when she was born..just with a few more rolls ;)

6 Month Stats...

We took Parker on Friday to her 6 month dr apt. After our crazy week this was the last thing we wanted to do since she had to get shots. Parker did a lot better this time around with the shots. Nurse said the 6 month shots usually affect them more but honestly I think these were the easiest. No fever, crankiness or sleepiness afterwards. Nurse Mandy, by the way, is FAST....I love watching how fast she can get those shots done & bandaids on. Dr. Reese said Parker looks great & is progressing normally. We went ahead & got her flu shot since she is in daycare. We got to talk to her about Parker not rolling over yet & we actually got a little laugh out of Dr. Reese which was surprising!!! We told her how we thought it was because Parker has a big belly & big thighs & it was hard for her to get all that over :) Dr. Reese aggreed with us, lol. She said we probably aren't letting her cry it out enough for her to get mad & get enough inertia to get her body over. Anyways, she sat up for Dr. Reese & showed positive signs everywhere else. I am great at letting Parker cry it out in bed when she goes down for naps but when she is on the floor right in front of me I don't last long ;)

6 Months!

Half a year old…ahhhh!

Parker is getting fun; you can play with her & interact with her. Tanner & I try to beat each other to waking her up in the mornings, so much fun! She is so happy to see us and just starts flopping her legs & arms everywhere. I love being able to walk into a room she is in & get an instant smile…even if I just walked out of the room 2 seconds ago ;) I guess she doesn’t know time yet! Oh my little girl, we love you so much! Her laugh is the best noise in the world. We are putting her highchair together this week that we have had stored in our garage. We are excited for her to start sitting in her own chair now that she can sit up better. I’m sure her pedi will want us to up the solids so she will have more “meal” times during the day mixed in with her bottles.

~ holds her own bottle (my favorite)
~ can grab & pick up objects (which all go straight to the mouth)
~ can roll from side to side but doesn’t dare to roll over, she has a couple times but that’s it ;)
~ Knows her name
~ loves to watch the dogs & will reach out to touch them
~ we have discovered a few ticklish spots!
~ sleeping about 12 hours a night
~ Loves her jumper!
~ Loves playing peek-a-boo
~ Sweet potatoes are her fav :)

We go to the pedi tomorrow for her 6 month apt & shots :( We also close on our house (hopefully) right afterwards so this should be an interesting afternoon!

On Friday we discovered her 2 bottom teeth! Of course she wouldn't let us get a good picture. I am guessing this is why she was running a fever & fussy over the break, maybe?? Oh & these rings are her best friends! They are perfect while teething & they come in a pack of 30 so we take a few everywhere we go.

3 Years!!

Tanner surprised me with a new Red Leather Chair for our new living room that I have so badly wanted. We also got new furniture for our living room that will look amazing with my new chair. I can't wait to move into our new casa this week!

3 Year Anniversary!

3 years ago today I married my best friend. I made a vowel in front of God to love him, cherish him, walk faithfully with him, respect him, & grow with him through whatever life may bring us. 3 years ago my life was changed forever.

3 years have passed & it’s hard to believe all the things that have happened & changed in these 3 years. I love my husband more & more everyday & even more when I see him with our daughter. It’s a new kind of love that I never saw before having Parker. He is such a wonderful father & I am so thankful for God giving him to Parker & I, we are so unworthy of his gratefulness.

Tanner & I bought our first house a year after we married. We have lots of memories in this house. We will never forget the happiness we shared the day we bought our very first home together or the countless hours we spent making our house into our home or the bedroom we prayed in every night for a sweet baby or the kitchen where we screamed, cried & hugged in when we found out we were pregnant or the time spent together fixing up our daughter’s first room or the day we got to walk in the door with our new precious daughter or the living room where we spent a few Holidays with family or the floor where we spend most of our time these days playing with miss P. We will never forget these precious moments we spent in our very first home together!

The past 3 years have been simply amazing; I am excited for each new day with my family. I can't wait for the new memories we will make in the coming years & in our new home!
